Vinification/ Maturation/ Vineyard/ Winemaking Info: Michel uses Bistere to plough between the rows encouraging the roots to go deep into the earth seeking water - where they find minerality all biodynamic - no chemical sprays in the vineyards absolutely no additions in the winemaking process La Bonne Pioche is a lovely 7 hectare vineyard near Vauxrenard with vines that are over 45 years old. It faces south east and the soil is friable granite. The grapes are picked earlier than is common these days and are pressed in an old basket press.
Notes: It is a lively, expressive wine with lovely sweet/sour red berries rolled in granite dust on both the nose and the palate. As with all of Michel's wines there is a freshness & minerality that makes it entirely drinkable now and later!
