The vineyards are cultivated between 300 and 600 mt above sea level, on centuries old terraces supported by dry stone walls on rocky amphitheater of Carema town in province of Turin (Piedmont, north-west of Italy). Cru : Ciapey, Laurey, Falet, Costet, Costa, Siei, Masunì. The grapes are 100% Nebbiolo from vines which are on everage 50 years old and are trained using the ancient ‘pergola caremese’ (‘topie’ in local dialect) method.

The 2017 release is the first to be vinified in Federico & Deborah's custom built cellar in Carema. Previous vintages were vinified in Boca at Le Piane. This release is powerful and brooding with enormous cellaring potential. Red fruited but concentrated - full minerality and spice is evident with decanting or extended cellaring. One for the ages.
